Pestle for iOS 26
For those of you that don't know, this week Apple released iOS 26, which introduced a brand-new design across iOS, and Pestle is up to date and ready on day one.

Hey everyone,
I have been hard work for many months preparing the next major release of Pestle. For those of you that don't know, this week Apple released iOS 26, which introduced a brand-new design across iOS, and Pestle is up to date and ready on day one.
So what's changed?
A lot, actually. So let's start with design.
Every page of Pestle has been refreshed to look at home on iOS 26, with the most noticeable changes affecting the recipe page.

Your recipe photos now stretch to the top of your screen, and blend beautifully into the content.
The Cookbook
This is the home page of Pestle, where all of your recipes live. I've made a couple of small changes here to make it easier than ever to search, sort and filter your cookbook. There's now two buttons in the top right, an **Add** button, and a **More** button.

Under the More button you can now adjust the layout and sort of your cookbook, with a quick aciton to dig deeper into appearance settings.
Search

Search is now a dedicated page, always one tap away no matter where you are in Pestle. The new Browse page shows your recently added recipes, any recipes you've looked up recently, then your folders and categories.
And as a little bonus, if you pull down in the Cookbook, Pestle will switch you to the search tab and bring up the keyboard automatically.
Timers

Timers in Pestle 3.0 have gotten a huge upgrade. Now even if your phone is on silent or Do Not Disturb, Pestle will still be able to notify you that your past is about to be overcooked.

This also means that Pestle can interrupt you while you use your phone to ensure you never miss a timer.
Meal Plan
At long last... meal times. Heavily request since Pestle launched, you can now add sections to the meal plan for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and you can even create your own custom sections.

Better yet, if you sync your meal plan to your calendar, Pestle will insert each recipe at the appropriate time – all of which is configurable also.
Apple Intelligence

On supported devices on iOS 26, Pestle can leverage on-device Apple Intelligence to import recipes from more sites than ever before.
Ingredient Sections
Whew... nearly done! The final new feature for Pestle 3.0 is Ingredient Section. Now you might be thinking "haven't I already read this in another blog post?", and you'd be right, Pestle has supported ingredient sections for a long time, but the feature was rather hidden.
Now, it's just one tap away!

Lots of bugs got squashed too, but I won't bore you with all those details!
All done! I hope you love Pestle 3.0 as much as I do! There's lots of little improvements scattered across, so get Pestle on the App Store and let me know what you think!
